The room brought together local VIPs, media, clients and close friends of the brand, and invited guests were given the first look at this highly anticipated yacht and the technology behind it.

First Look: The Interiors Revealed

During the event, attendees became the first in the world to explore the ULTIMA 88 through exclusive preview material, including interior images and film shown publicly for the very first time. The ULTIMA 88 embodies the forward-looking vision of Sunreef Yachts, bringing together cutting-edge innovation, refined aesthetics and performance-driven design.

Guests were given the first look at the ULTIMA 88 ahead of its public debut.

A Partnership Beyond the Water

At the launch, Sunreef Yachts was also proud to announce Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz as a brand partner. Alcaraz has chosen the ULTIMA 88 as his first yacht, marking his entry into the world of luxury yachting through the newest range from the shipyard.

The MOTION 88 evening during the Singapore Yacht Show.

A New Benchmark for Performance Luxury

The ULTIMA 88 introduces a new dimension to performance luxury, striking a remarkable balance between speed, efficiency and refined comfort under way. She combines the agility of a monohull with the stability, generous living space and shallow draft of a multihull — a forward-thinking expression of contemporary yacht architecture.

The reverse bow: a defining design language of the Sunreef Yachts ULTIMA series.

ULTIMA 88 — Breaking the Mould, Positioned from the Future

When space and agile handling satisfy the ultimate desire for pleasure at the same time, the word Ultima already states the final answer plainly.

Space to Live

Generous volume lets the living environment extend freely and the view open without boundaries — and with it comes a richer sense of sharing and shared joy.

Agile Handling

Positioned between catamaran and monohull, the compact twin-hull configuration reduces draft and improves performance while retaining the sharper steering response that sets her apart from a conventional catamaran. That compact twin hull and shallow draft also make it easy to enter and berth at smaller marinas.

Founder Francis Lapp came to the water with a background as an electrical engineering entrepreneur and a personal love of sailing. He began in yacht chartering, and it was the limited range of models on the market — unable to satisfy what he was looking for — that led him to develop an entirely new category of yacht. Sunreef today stands not only as a purpose-built catamaran builder of global standing, but as a benchmark for the industry in energy efficiency, smart manufacturing and environmental sustainability.

The ULTIMA 88 carries that original ambition forward. Beneath a sculpted, distinctly sporting exterior lies a careful balance between environmental responsibility and life on board: hull efficiency, cleaner energy use, the hybrid propulsion of the Eco version, environmentally friendly materials and intelligent production processes all put a sustainable, technology-led future into practice.

The new range opens with the defining design language of ULTIMA — the reverse bow. It shapes far more than performance; its assertive exterior points to the ambition of a new generation. Expansive glazing, generous outdoor deck space and a bold, pared-back form answer to warm, finely finished living quarters, and every design element sets a tone of future living merged with the ocean. That openness leaves future owners more flexibility and imagination for life at sea, with a high degree of customisation to shape as they wish.

Stepping into Ocean Luxury: The Ocean Lounge

To elevate life on board, the yacht transforms at anchor into a genuine waterfront retreat. Expansive fold-out bulwarks combine with a hydraulic swim platform at the stern to create a seamless wraparound Ocean Lounge — an unmatched connection with the sea, and an ideal place for both relaxation and adventure.

The wraparound Ocean Lounge turns the yacht into a waterfront retreat at anchor.

The main deck aft area.

Moving to the Rhythm of the Ocean on Open Decks

Beyond the refinement of the interior, the ULTIMA 88 is designed around the balance between outdoor living space and an unhurried way of life.

One of the highlights is the wraparound Ocean Lounge. Fold-out bulwarks and a generous aft deck let guests move easily across the decks while staying within arm’s reach of the water. The stern is also fitted with a hydraulic swim platform and a garage for the tender and water toys.

The aft lounge area on the flybridge deck.

The helm station on the flybridge.

Living Spaces Wrapped in Sunlight and Ocean

The interior of the ULTIMA 88 is contemporary in spirit, built around minimalism and strong architectural lines. Pale wood finishes are complemented by fabrics in neutral tones and finely crafted joinery, giving the whole living space a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere.

In the main salon, the open-plan layout creates an uninterrupted flow for guests, making it easy to socialise and unwind. At the same time, expansive glazing draws in abundant natural light and keeps the interior in constant dialogue with the seascape outside.

The main salon: an open-plan layout under expansive glazing.

Pale wood joinery and neutral fabrics run through the living spaces.

Lighting is discreetly integrated throughout the yacht, casting a soft ambient glow that elevates the understated, elegant palette within. The result is a calm, comfortable quality that fills the cabin with an easy, welcoming warmth.

The cabins follow the same aesthetic, but in a more private register. Soft materials and thoughtful detailing create a refined and relaxed environment, well suited to extended time at sea.

The master cabin, finished in the same restrained palette.

The master bathroom.

Considered detailing at the bedside.

Soft materials and considered detailing in the guest accommodation.

Behind the ULTIMA 88: The Sunreef Yachts Shipyard

Sunreef Yachts builds in-house, and the ULTIMA 88 is no exception.
